Another easy "unriddle" for you folks now... (Don't say I am not kind to you - sometimes...!!!)
A three-way "combat des divas" - and one clear winner right off the bat! Surely you've been riddled worse than that before - hmm?
NELLY FURTADO, with the big push that she gets from her record label company, and the ease with which she can, thus, reach a mass audience, has to be the clear favorite in this particular game of the comparisons...
NAZANIN gained a lot of notoriety for her kind heart, championing the cause she had no choice but to champion - the death sentence that hung over her namesake in Iran... Still, she has ways to go before catching up to Nelly...
And then there is Bïa!
BÏA is a Brazilian-born artist who, for some unfathomable reason has chosen to relocate to the cold climate (in more ways than one) of Quebec, Canada... Like many other Brazilians who, I suppose, figured that they'd, at least, "stand out" from the pack over there...? She honestly believed that she'd "està numa boa" as they say...! She does stand out - but the indifference remains! She is too eclectic and exotic for the typical "monsieur et madame tout-le-monde" up there...
The result is that she is relegated (like São and others) into a sub-category of artists that only gets some bit of the spotlight either in June or July - the "festival" months! (They do have a festival in Quebec City around February - but that doesn't really count! *LOL*)
So - nice try Bïa.
Even nicer, Nazanin!
But Nelly is the one who has got it made!

Je ne suis pas "un artiste", moi! Je ne tiens pas à partager ma photo avec le monde entier - je ne vends que mon écriture, pas une image en plus d'une voix, de l'art, etc...
Mais puisque tu me lis, deux secondes, voilà mon opinion:
des chanteuses comme Line Bautista et Nazanin acceptent des "amis" dits "inconnus" (elles m'ont accepté en tous cas!) - pour la simple et bonne raison qu'ils représentent un public potentiel qui leur sera, sans doute, fidèle...
C'est de la "bonne business"...
des chanteuses comme ma cousine, São, que tu dois connaître, ne font pas un usage effectif du tout de l'internet pour se promouvoir
(toi, au moins, tu as un site!)
des chanteuses comme Line Renaud - grande dame qu'elle est - entretiennent même des correspondences avec leurs fans... Elle en entretient une avec moi mais c'est parce que je suis le seul à avoir émis un commentaire sur le documentaire fait sur sa vie - ici:
